Meet Rain Angkor Wat Guide
Rain
Warm regards from Rain Guide Siem Reap, Cambodia.

My name is Rain, and the Ministry of Tourism has recognized me as a certified English-speaking tour guide with over eight years of experience. I am fluent in English and passionate about sharing Cambodia’s rich history and culture. I also love making meaningful friendships with people from around the world.
I was born in a rural area of Siem Reap. I come from a large family with four brothers, one sister, and my mother, who still live in the countryside. Sadly, the assassination of my father in 1998 forced my siblings to abandon their studies in order to assist my mother, who tirelessly worked to support our family. We grew up in challenging conditions.
Despite these difficulties, I was determined to continue my education. I convinced my mother to let me move to Siem Reap Center when I was in Grade 9. I completed high school in Grade 12, but due to financial constraints, I couldn’t attend university immediately.
After high school, I worked as a night auditor and volunteered during the day, eventually becoming a staff member at Caring for Cambodia (CFC), a non-governmental organization. During my three years at CFC, I received a scholarship to study at university and improve my English skills at the Australian Centre for Education (ACE).
I attended Paññāsāstra University for five years and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. I also completed my English studies at ACE and achieved an IELTS score of 6.5. In 2016, I passed the Ministry of Tourism’s English-speaking tour guide certification exam and began working as a full-time tour guide in 2017 after leaving my NGO role.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, tourism in Siem Reap came to a halt as international borders closed. I moved to Phnom Penh and worked as a digital marketer at E-School Cambodia, which became my second family. There, I enhanced my skills in graphic design and became a certified online advertiser with expertise in Facebook and Google advertising.
In 2022, I returned to Siem Reap to resume my work as a tour guide. I now operate my own business, “Rain Angkor Wat Tour,” which offers private Angkor Wat tours. I organize trips for both small and large groups in Siem Reap and beyond. You can learn more about my services and read reviews on TripAdvisor, ToursByLocals, or Google.
Starting your tour with me will be an unforgettable experience. I promise to provide personalized service and ensure you have an excellent time exploring Cambodia.
Plan your trip to Cambodia today—I look forward to welcoming you here!

Terry S2025-01-22Verified The best guide in Siem Reap! We had a fantastic tour with Rain for 2 days last January, 2024. He is very personable and fun. We explained what we wanted on our tours and he arranged accordingly. I highly recommend him as a tour guide in Cambodia. It was a favorite trip for my sister and me.
